from children for the Canadian premiere of Caroline or Change – a musical by Tony Kushner
and Jeanine Tesori.

About The Show: Set in 1963 Louisiana against the backdrop of the civil rights movement,
Kennedy’s assassination and the Vietnam war, this Tony-nominated musical centres on
Caroline Thibodeaux, a divorced African American maid and Noah Gellman, the eight-year-old
son of the Jewish family for whom she works. Featuring a through-composed score that blends
blues, gospel and traditional Jewish melodies, this Drama Desk, Lucille Lortel, Obie, Tony and
Olivier award-winning musical by Tony Kushner (Angels In America) and Jeanine Tesori

TYT is joining with Lower Ossington Theatre for this project – Spring Awakening – to be directed by Michael Rubenstein.

The Lower Ossington Theatre is casting all roles in ‘Spring Awakening: The Musical’. Based on the controversial 1891 German play by Frank Wedekind, the show won 8 Tonys.

This is first production of ‘Spring Awakening’ in Ontario since the off-Broadway tour performed in Toronto two years ago. Read more…

Stage Manangers
‘DANFORTH’ is a new play in this year’s SummerWorks Festival.
I am looking for a stage manager who is organized and has a great attitude. The Stage Manager must be present at all rehearsals and performances. Rehearsals start in July. Performances fall between August 3 – August 14. This is a non-union, non-paying job, but it will be lots of fun and a great experience. DANFORTH is a new play written by Adam Hunter Collier in this years SummerWorks Theatre Festival. It’s a comedy about Greek Gino’s livin the life in Toronto’s east end on The Danforth.
We are searching for:
5 MALES. Ages 18-30
Babyfaces, scruffy faces, all body types welcome, Mediterranean look an asset.
This will be a group audition. Please be prepared to spend an hour and a half with us. We will provided sides at the audition. This is non- paying and only non-union actors please.
